Give2Charity is reader-supported: if you enter a draw through our links we may earn a commission from the operator, at no extra cost to you. This never affects our ratings. We are not a charity or draw operator. How we make money.

Our Editorial Policy

Give2Charity rates prize draws and services on fixed, published criteria — legitimacy, charity share, odds transparency, value and fairness — independently of any commission we earn. Every figure is sourced and dated, pages are updated on a set cadence, and we correct mistakes openly. This policy explains exactly how we work.

How we rate operators

We score each prize draw and service on the same criteria, whether or not we earn commission from it:

  • Legitimacy: is it a real, registered company paying real prizes and real charity donations?
  • Charity share: how much actually reaches charity — sourced, dated, and stated as a percentage of gross or net where known.
  • Odds transparency: does the operator publish entry numbers and honest odds, or hide them?
  • Value and fairness: entry price, guaranteed-winner rules, free-entry route, and how the operator treats players.
  • Compliance: free postal route offered, honest marketing, no urgency manipulation.

We recommend draws we’d enter ourselves and say plainly when something is poor value, even when we earn from it.

Sourcing and dating

Every number — odds, percentages, prices — is sourced from the operator’s own materials or credible reporting, and dated (“as of {month} {year}”). Where an operator does not publish something, we say “the operator does not publish this” rather than estimate. Estimates, such as odds, are clearly labelled as estimates with the method shown.

How often we update

  • Operator reviews: reviewed quarterly and at each new draw or house launch.
  • Comparison and winners pages: the comparison page quarterly; winners within 48 hours of a major draw.
  • Wills scheme pages: refreshed ahead of their campaign (e.g. Free Wills Month each February and September; Will Aid each autumn).
  • Every page shows a visible “last updated” date.

Independence

Our ratings are editorial and never for sale. Commission is paid by operators, at no cost to readers, and cannot buy a higher rating, a ranking, or our silence. See how we make money for the full disclosure. Information-only links (with no commission) are included where they’re the best option for readers.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do we fix them in the open. If you spot an error, email us (corrections email). We’ll check it, correct the page, and note the change and date at the foot of the page. Material corrections are logged so readers can see what changed.

Wills and money content (YMYL)

Our wills and inheritance content is general information, not legal or tax advice. It carries an author byline and, where available, a reviewed-by line, and it recommends professional advice for complex estates. We source scheme details (eligibility, dates, obligations) from each scheme’s own site and link out.
