What is Click Competitions and is it legitimate?

Click Competitions is a UK-registered prize competition site, run by Click Competitions Limited, a private limited company incorporated on 7 April 2020 under Companies House number 12550861, registered office Central House, 20 Central Avenue, St Andrews Business Park, Norwich (find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk, checked July 2026). It was founded by Justin Franklin and Daniel Oldham, who ceased to be persons with significant control on 3 April 2025 when Winvia Entertainment Plc (Companies House 03755182) took a 75%-or-more shareholding, per Companies House’s PSC register. Winvia’s own announcement confirms the acquisition completed in May 2025 and that Click Competitions now sits in the same portfolio as Best of the Best (BOTB) and the online gaming brand Princess Casino (winvia.co.uk, checked July 2026). That is a material change since the brand’s early years and worth knowing if you assumed it was still independently, family-run.

It offers a mix of instant wins and timed draws for tech, cars and cash, with cash prizes commonly ranging from about £1,000 up to £20,000, plus smaller instant prizes and site credit. Each paid entry requires you to answer a simple question, and a free postal entry route is published in the terms and conditions for compliance — both being standard ways UK competitions stay on the right side of lottery law. Some competitions are offered as free-entry-only, with no paid ticket option at all.

Entries start low, from around 29p, and winners frequently report quick payouts. As of July 2026 it holds an “Excellent” Trustpilot rating, from several thousand reviews. We found no published Advertising Standards Authority ruling against Click Competitions on asa.org.uk as of July 2026.

Winvia Entertainment Plc, Click Competitions’ parent, is itself listed on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market under the ticker WVIA, having raised £40 million at its IPO and floated with a market capitalisation of roughly £205 million. That means Click Competitions now sits inside a publicly listed group, alongside BOTB’s long-running “Dream Car” competition and the Romanian gaming brands Princess Casino and Luck.com — a stronger corporate backing than most family-run competition sites, though it does not change the answer on charity.

What does Click Competitions give to charity?

Here the honest answer is short: Click Competitions is not a charity-focused operator. We found no published, standing charity model on its own site or terms — no fixed percentage of entries donated, and no guaranteed per-draw donation. It is a commercial prize competition business, now backed by a listed entertainment group, that competes on cheap entries, instant wins and fast payouts, not on charitable giving.

That is not a mark against its legitimacy — plenty of legitimate competition sites make no charity claim at all, which is more honest than implying one. But it does mean that if your reason for entering is to support a cause, Click Competitions is not the vehicle for it. Any charitable element would be a one-off, not a core commitment, so check the specific draw before assuming otherwise.

How do entries and prices work?

Entries start from around 29p, with the price and any ticket cap set per competition. Instant-win formats resolve immediately; timed draws close on a set date. Where the total number of tickets is capped and published, you can estimate the odds; where it isn’t, treat the odds as unknown. The free postal entry route is available on competitions that permit it, at the cost of a stamp, and some competitions are offered as free-entry-only with no paid ticket at all. The low entry price makes small, frequent spending the main risk — set a limit.

How do the odds/value compare?

On charitable giving, it doesn’t really compare — it doesn’t publish a charity commitment, so there is nothing to weigh against Omaze’s guaranteed £1 million per house draw, or a licensed society lottery such as People’s Postcode Lottery, which commits a minimum 30% of ticket revenue to good causes by rule. Where Click competes is on price, instant wins and payout speed, and it now has the backing of a larger, technology-led entertainment group. If charity matters to you, choose an operator that publishes its giving, such as Rev Comps or Bounty Competitions, or give directly. If you want cheap, fast car-and-cash draws and treat them purely as entertainment, Click is a legitimate option.

The Give2Charity verdict on Click Competitions

  • Is it legitimate? Yes — a registered UK operator with published winners, fast payouts and, since 2025, the backing of Winvia Entertainment Plc.
  • Does it give to charity? No standing charity model — treat any charity element as a one-off.
  • Is it transparent? It doesn’t over-claim a charity angle, which is fair; the recent change of majority ownership is a fact worth knowing.
  • How does it compare? Competitive on price and payout speed; not a charitable-giving choice.

If your priority is winning a car or cash prize at a low entry cost, and you are comfortable that no portion of your entry is earmarked for charity, Click Competitions is a reasonable, well-backed option. If charitable impact is part of why you enter prize draws at all, look instead at an operator that publishes a giving figure, or make a direct donation and claim Gift Aid, which reaches a cause in full rather than as a share of a commercial competition’s profit.
