Omaze does not publish a fixed day-by-day timetable for this sequence in its house draw terms, so treat any specific number of days you see quoted elsewhere as an estimate rather than a guarantee.

How does Omaze contact you if you win?

Omaze’s own FAQs state that winners are always contacted by email, and by phone as well if a number was provided when entering. Omaze does not publish a specific dedicated phone number for winner calls in its public FAQs, so a call from an unfamiliar number around a draw close date is not automatically suspicious — cross-check it against the email contact instead. The confirmation email goes to the address the winner registered when they entered.

This means:

• Your phone number and email must be accurate in your Omaze account. If you entered via the website, check that your contact details are up to date at omaze.co.uk.
• If you entered by post, the email address on your free-entry letter is the address Omaze will use. Ensure it is legible and current.
• Check your spam folder, and save omaze.com as a safe sender — this is Omaze’s own advice, since automated systems sometimes filter its messages incorrectly.

What if Omaze cannot reach the winner?

2. Check your email inbox and spam folder for messages from omaze.com domain addresses.
3. Log into your Omaze account to confirm your registered contact details are correct.

Yes, in a general sense. Omaze is a signatory to the UK Government’s Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators, in force from 20 May 2026 (gov.uk). Under the Code, signatories agree to promptly provide the winning player with the advertised prize, or a reasonable cash alternative, and must not reduce a prize’s value, move a draw’s closing date, or cancel a draw because ticket sales were lower than hoped. The Code also requires that winners be selected either by an independent person or by a certified, auditable random process, consistent with Omaze naming Civica as its independent scrutineer.

None of this guarantees a specific number of days between a draw closing and you hearing from Omaze, since the Code sets principles rather than a fixed timetable. But it does mean that, once you are confirmed as the winner, Omaze is expected to follow through on the advertised prize rather than downgrading it after the fact.

What happens after Omaze notifies you?

If you are the genuine winner, Omaze’s team will guide you through the next steps. These typically include:

• Identity verification (proof of name, address and age)
• Legal documentation for the property transfer
• Discussion of any cash alternative option, where Omaze’s official rules allow for a reasonable prize alternative if the advertised property cannot be transferred — the exact terms are set per draw, not fixed across all draws
• Agreement to Omaze’s winner publicity terms (a winner can sometimes negotiate privacy, though Omaze typically requires some form of public announcement)

The property transfer itself takes time. Conveyancing in England and Wales generally takes eight to twelve weeks for an ordinary purchase, sometimes longer, and there is no reason to expect an Omaze property to complete materially faster, since the same legal process applies. You do not move in the day after the call.
